Procedures and treatments

Procedures are organized into four groups by the type of visit involved rather than by body area: minor in-office procedures, laser and skin treatments, injectables, and larger surgical procedures. Each group begins with a brief explanation of what its treatments address.

Insurance covers treatment that is medically necessary. Cosmetic and elective treatments, including mole removal performed for appearance rather than for a medical reason, are paid out of pocket. Dr. Chin will determine which applies to you at your consultation, before anything is scheduled.

Minor in-office procedures

These are common removals and repairs: an unwanted mole, a recurring cyst, a keloid, or a scar that healed raised or wide. Nearly all are performed in an exam room under local anesthesia, and most patients return to their normal routine the same day.

Whether something can be treated in the office depends on its size, location, and potential risks. Dr. Chin will determine the appropriate approach during your consultation, after examining the area.

Laser and energy-based treatments prompt the skin to renew itself, gradually improving texture, tone, fine lines, and scarring over the following weeks. Different devices reach different depths, so the right choice depends on your skin and your goals. Dr. Chin performs these treatments himself.

Laser treatment is one of the services our practice performs most often, and it fits easily into a normal week.

Procedure Typical visit
eCO2 fractional laser 30 to 60 min
Infini RF microneedling
LaseMD 20 to 30 min
Laser skin resurfacing 30 to 60 min

Injectables

Botox and fillers serve different purposes. Botox relaxes the muscles that crease the skin, softening expression lines. Fillers restore lost volume, lifting cheeks, smoothing folds, and shaping lips. Both are performed in the office in a single appointment, and Dr. Chin administers every treatment himself.
